Happy Birhtday Wyatt!!!

Don't judge me too soon!!! We were with our sweet nephew on his birthday, I just haven't had time to blog about anything lately. Now, back to Wyatt. I remember three years ago standing outside Emily's hospital room waiting for the doctor to come out and tell us everything. When the doctor came out you could hear all of us take a huge breath in (I think there were close to 15 of us waiting in the hall). She didn't tell us anything. A few minutes later Ryan came out with a video camera and told us Wyatt was perfect!!! We have had so so much fun with him ever since! Wyatt, we love you so very much and are proud to be your Aunt and Uncle. Happy Birthday!

my model husband!

Lately I have kept myself busy with organizing all my digital pictures. I'm not one of those who immediately downloads pictures right after an event. Trust me, I wish I was. No, it takes me sometimes months to get pictures off my camera. So there are literally thousands of pictures in all sorts of different folders.
While going through them and putting them into different categories, I ran across some pictures of Christmas 2006. I know!!!!!! I don't know who had our camera but apparently Doug was in a great mood and wanted to strike a pose! Well, a pose he struck!!!!!
PS It's not to often that when pictured with a baby the adult is the one people look at!

i love the pumpkin patch!+

It's October right? That means it's time to go to the pumpkin patch!!!!! We love this day. Our whole family goes. Grandma's, Grandpa's, mom's, dad's, aunts, uncles and cousins. We have so much fun. We have been going to the same place for the last three years, Bauman farms in Woodburn. There is so much to do for all ages and they are one of the three farms in Oregon that are certified to produce Apple Cider. It is Delicious!!! Here are some highlights!

jog-a-thon

This morning was Portland Christians annual Jog-a-thon. It's one of the two fundraisers they do every year. Last year Asher ran but this year he had to have sponsors!! Sponsors can choose to give a flat rate or make a per lap pledge!! Most people choose to give a flat rate but there are those crazy people who will make a per lap pledge (usually the grandparents)! It's always so much fun to watch the kids run around in a big circle! Now Asher is in kindergarten, five years old. They have 25 minutes to run as many laps as they can. Personally, I can't run for ten minutes. I don't know many who can, but kids are a different story. Our little Asher ran the WHOLE TIME!!!!!! 25 minutes!!! I was so proud of him!!! So, back to the pledges. Asher ran 23 laps in that 25 minutes (I know, very impressive) and we had one crazy pledge three dollars for every lap. I will do the math for you so you can finish reading...... $69.00!!!!!!!!! Great for the school, not so great for that person!! All in all Asher raised close to two hundred dollars for his school. Great job Asher!!!!

first week of school!

Wow!!! We are a day away from finishing our first week of school! In just three short days my son no longer needs me to walk him to his class, give him a big hug and kiss him goodbye. Nope, it's just a wave goodbye as he is running to his classroom after the bell rings. I only get the wave cause I am yelling his name while I am waving to him!!! They need a class for mommies to goto that first week of school so we can learn how to be okay! I guess I am lucky to still have Carson home with me, but well, Carson is.......... something!!!!!! No, I love my kids to no end and I thank God every morning for them.

slippie slides!!!!

So, my sister Jen came into Portland a little over two weeks ago. She brought with her my nephew Trace and my new niece Shea!! We had so much fun with them. Asher and Trace are 16 months apart but they play like there is no difference. Now, you would think that Asher being older would be taller. Not the case. See, Trace's daddy is 6'5" and Asher's daddy is 5'7". Almost a foot difference!!!! They look hilarious together! Enough about the daddy's, Trace is now taller the Asher buy an inch. He's a big boy! But, let's not forget about his sister. Shea was 10lbs at birth, so Jen was at a disadvantage from birth. But now Shea is less than three months old and she is a whopping 16lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, she is that big. My poor sister is having joint problems from having to carry her around. Even though she is very big, she is so beautiful. We had a great time with them while they were here. This was one of the best. Aunt dada and Jennelee bought Asher a Spiderman slip n' slide for his birthday. We busted it out and had a great time!!!

We Are Team Troxell!!

So, not long after Asher was born, Doug christened us with the family name "Team Troxell"! That is what I titled our blog so I thought I should at least put a picture up of the team.
This was taken last fall, hence the corn field, so it's a bit old. I don't know about anyone else, but we seem to have a hard time getting family pictures.
Asher is now five years old and getting ready to start kindergarten. He is so excited. The thought of being in school all day every day gets him giddy! He has some very special friends that he can't wait to see again.
Carson is two!!! Ummmm... how to explain Carson? I usually just call him a stinker but there is so much more to him. He is very, very, very loud!! This child can yell. He doesn't scream, he yells. Mostly at his brother, but very much at me!
Doug and I have been married for seven years now and are very happy. We are super lucky because we have a couple wonderful Grandma's (not to mention grammy's) and a Papa in town who spoil us with date nights.
All in all, we are blessed!!
